Grit and Dirt - Inspirational Stories of Grit and the Dirt on How to Change Your Life

Aug 20, 2017

How would your life change if you embarked on a year of saying yes to adventure? Today's podcast guest, Pam LeBlanc shares her adventurous story.

While hiking the John Muir Trail, no small feat in and of itself, the seed for the Pam's year of adventure was planted. A later conversation with her editor led her to officially declare it her year of adventure and invite readers to join in. Since then, she's taken on all kinds of challenges including:

  • Dogsledding in the mountains.
  • Jumping off of a 10 Meter Platform at the University of Texas at Austin. This was actually the scariest adventure of the year so far. Listen to the podcast to find out why!
  • Swimming naked in Barton Springs, an outdoor pool in Austin.
  • Running a naked 5k....wait is there a theme here? You've got to hear this story! Listen to the podcast now!

So what is this year of adventure teaching her? To live life outside of the comfort zone rather than sitting on the sidelines.  Life should be lived to the fullest! Join us as she recounts her adventures, and encourages us to live more adventurously.

Pam is a staff writer for the Austin Statesman and runs the Austin360 FitCity Blog. You can read more about all of her adventures on the blog!
